shortlisting was done on GPA basis..

technical questions were asked on favorite topics. on power system and electrical machines..questions were fundamental.what is role of relay in power system,what protection is used ,bucholz relay operation,use of CT,PT.effect of frequency deviation,induction motor construction,swing equation.. questions are asked on mainly your excursion and summer training

in HR questions .where are you from,why you want to join CIL,as an electrical engineer how will you protect environment,moral and ethics of life,about family members,a good knowledge of your native state.

while interview you must remain calm and confident . sometime they just not check your technical knowledge..they observe your behavior..so don't be disappointed even if you havn't answered a single question.while answering questions focus your attention towards interviewer and listen them carefully ..they provide hint if you have difficulty in answering questions..

short listing by GPA,then extempore and finally persona l interview[PI]
30 persons applied in my branch ,13 were selected ..ranking not known...
confident approach in GD, and good home work on summer trainings and excursions...
