it was a online test.it has three sections-english,logical reasoning and maths.time was fixed for each part.you can finish a part earlier and move to other part but time will not be added.

they asked few very basic questions like...what is pointer?
what is operating system?
what is the difference b/w os and progr. lang.?
i answered few and then told that i am not that good in C....they asked me about my final year project in metallurgy and rest of questions were like..why do you want to join tcs....and other HR questions only...it was fairly easy

they just asked why do you want to join tcs??and asked whether i know about the bond...they asked whether i have a question..it was all chill..

be calm and cool
try to answer all questions promptly.
apply presence of mind.
highlight if you are involved in sollege activities or if you are good in any activity other than studies

around 140 students sat out of which 119 got selected for interview and finally 109 were recruited.basically my communication skills and the fact that i was general secretary of students body in my college helped me a lot as they asked lot of things about it...so if you have any extra curricular activity put emphasis on that in CV as they ask about what you have written in your CV
