written test which contained both technical and non technical questions .

almost all students were asked both tech n hr questions but in my turn only tech questions were asked .like
how we protect generator/motor ,torque-slip characteristics in case of induction machine ,modes of induction machine ,how we protect transformer..............

it depends totally upon type of company wheather it is core or software .
for electrical engineers ,machine and power system are very importent.
when you are going to face interview ,specially for steel sector then
induction machine and protection of motor,generator n transformer .these topics should be covered........wishing you best of luck

.total 180 students from mechanical ,electrical ,metallurgy and production engineering appeared for the written test in which 75 got selection for personal interview. finally 38 selected (mech-10 ,prod-9 ,metal-14 ,elect-5 ) .
i was on the 4th position in electrical stream.
i think confidence is the key but i was favoured by luck ,because i knew the answers of the topic that were asked in interview.........
