The technical interview was for about 15 minutes. The very first question i was asked was, What is Static Electricity?
And from that they went on asking about,Lightening, Lightning arrestors-types and requirements.I was also asked
about DC motors' applications-series,shunt etc. and various transmission losses. Some other questions, my friends
were asked are:Which motor is used in a fan? function of capacitor in the fan. The questions were related to day to
day applications of various machines.

HR questions were quite general..like.. tell me about yourself? area of interest? where do u see yourself 5 yrs down
the lane? Where do you want to work in IOCl?

To answer the technical questions:It is very important to have a basic idea of machines,power systemsprotection,
operation and control. Sometimes, they do ask for a favorite..so its better you are thorough with atleast
one of the main subjects. Focus on applications in daily life. If you are thorough with your training report, it can be
of help and you can tell them about your work in an industry.
HR questions are quite general,but be yourself.If you really want the job, its important to convince them that you
want to work for their company, and have no immediate plans of higher studies(like MS or CAT).

I walked into the panel room without any expectations and the interview was over even before I realised.
The questions were asked one after the other..leaving not much time to think. I tried explaining as much as I could,
when I was sure of the answers.I just remember being confident through out and I guess it worked.
