Technical question asked were mainly asked from the summer training which i did at the end of my 2nd year. Further a small part was also asked from the topics which i studied in the most recent semester..The questions were based on more practical knowledge than theoretical one..eg. as i m studying mining machinery engg. they asked me about different types of pumps, there characteristics curve..about shovels , dumpers, gears etc.

In the HR session the company wanted us to be ourselves..There they asked about myself,about my family background,my interests and dislikes,my strength and weakness,the name of books i use to study for getting familiar with things going round the world.also they asked y i want to join TATA STEEL and why not MBA.apart from this role play and group activity was also carried out.

They should go well prepared for interview..they should focus more on training and practical aspects of there coarse..
