Aptitude - 20 questions. Good standard one's. Actually it takes more than 30 mins to answer all the 20. So, speed nd
selection of questions is very crucial. Technical - 20 c++ program bits. Concentrated more on OOP concepts. This section
also takes more than the given 20 mins. Program - A datastructures problem is given, and we have to write an efficient
algorithm with time complexity nlogn. 15 mins. Tooo less. Essay - A picture is given. We have to write a small essay of
what we think about that pic. Time just 10 mins. Written test total time 65 mins.

Interview panel has 3 members + 1 HR Concentrated more on C++ oop concepts. Also asked questions on : Operating
system principles, Data Structures Computer Architecture, Micro Processors ( ece sub ), Perl basics, PHP, MySql, ( my
summer project under CISCO systems ) Asked about compilers, but I said we dont have that subject in ECE curricullum.
Gave a puzzle and asked to write a program for it in 5 mins. Total it went on for 1 hour 45 mins. Not an easy one.

No separate HR round. HR sat beside the 3 members of technical panel during the interview.

As regarding to an ECE guy, if u want to crack DE Shaw, you have to learn more than just C/C++. Concentrate more on
OOP concepts. If u learn PERL, definitely you will have an edge over others. If possible learn MySql/Oracle and PHP
also. Be perfect with all the subjects mentioned above. ALL THE BEST !!!

The written is a very very tight one. Time is a crucial factor. I didn't answer all the questions. First I answered all the easy
ones. I didn't go for flukes. In interview you have to be bit brave bcoz therewill be 4 panel members sitting b4 u, shooting
with questions. The interview is a long one. The toughest of all the interviews I appeared until then.
